Adorable folk skirt from historic German brand Wallach, known for their handblocked printed fabrics––Wallach was a prestigious, well-known Jewish-owned brand in Germany whose founders faced expulsion from their homeland in 1938 (for more information on the Wallach story, see the full timeline of the brand here). This beautiful, classic Wallach piece features a handblocked heart paisley print in reds and whites on a dusty blue background, and a classic Western European folk silhouette with a fitted waist and an open, flared fit with fabric gathering from the waist down. Metal zip with mother-of-pearl button closure, with a single pocket at wearer's right hip. There is some darkened staining at wearer's back left, but not very noticeable when worn and possibly removable.
